A fling with Drake and rumors about a relationship with Travis Scott are enough to put SZA under the spotlight. Turns out SZA was in a long-term relationship from 2008 to 2019, and rumors have it that her partner was Scott Sasso.
But who is Scott Sasso? Let’s see what we know about him.
Who Is Scott Sasso?
Scott Sasso is the former founder of 10.Deep, a streetwear brand that he later sold. The brand was associated with a lot of big names and was seen on celebrities like A$AP Rocky. Despite being inactive on social media, the brand’s website is still up and running.

Scott Sasso got inspiration for the brand during his time at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York. According to him, he didn’t really think it through. The idea hit him, and he started doodling the name on a sheet of paper. He only wanted to make a couple of t-shirts as an extension of his interest in graffiti art, but the brand grew and has been around for nearly two decades now.
The brand was launched in 1995, but according to Sasso, his designs weren’t seen on the streets until 1998.
Aside from the streetwear brand, not much is known about Scott Sasso. We’re not sure about his background or upbringing.
The Truth Behind SZA and Scott Sasso
SZA never mentioned that Scott Sasso is her ex-fiance, so all of these are allegations. The singer first hinted about the relationship in a 2023 cover story, describing her ex as a fashion designer.

According to SZA, she’d been together with Sasso for a total of 11 years, five of which they’d been engaged. When you do the math, you realize that this means SZA started dating him right out of high school.
SZA let out some hints about her ex, like being 8 years older than her. She also mentioned that he was the reason she pursued music, and he supported her by paying for her clothes, food, and rent.
Unfortunately, the relationship didn’t end well. SZA mentioned in a 2022 interview that Nobody Gets Me was inspired by her relationship with her ex. She also once said that her ex cheated on her, but it’s not clear whether that ex is Sasso.
