There are a few things that you probably don’t know about Willie Nelson.
As it turns out, there’s a lot more to that man than being a musician and a singer!
You may not know that Willie is a long-time advocate for marijuana legalization and a proponent of renewable energy. You’ll find it hard to believe, but he runs his tour buses on biodiesel!
Not only that, but Willie is also a martial artist with a black belt, and he’s known for his love of poker, golf, and chess.
Aside from his hobbies and activism, Willie has been married four times and has eight children from his different wives.
His longest-standing wife is the last one, Annie D’Angelo. So, what do we know about her? Here’s everything we know about Willie Nelson’s spouse!

Who Is Willie Nelson’s Current Wife?
Nelson’s current wife is Annie D’Angelo, whom he’s been married to since 1991. She used to work as a makeup artist in the ‘80s and frequently worked on film stars—that’s how she eventually met her current husband.
In 1986, Nelson was filming his movie, Stagecoach, when he met D’Angelo. At the time, she was 30 years old, while he was 53. The couple first bonded over Nelson’s hair. Apparently, the role demanded that he cut his hair, but D’Angelo convinced him not to get rid of his signature braids.

Despite meeting in 1986, Nelson and D’Angelo didn’t get together until he divorced his then-wife in 1988. During the same year, the couple welcomed their first child, Lukas Autry. Meanwhile, their second and last child followed two years later in 1990.
After welcoming two sons, Willie and Annie decided to tie the knot, and they did so in September 1991, having a private ceremony in Nashville.
Where Do Willie Nelson and His Wife Live?
Willie and Annie have a ranch in Spicewood, Texas, and a home in Maui, Hawaii. The two houses are a bit far from each other, but that’s only because Nelson’s career keeps him on the roads, so he frequently moves houses.

The couple’s primary residence is the Texas ranch, but they raised their two sons in the Hawaii house—it’s also the spot where they throw their poker parties and invite fellow celebrities.
What Does Annie De’Angelo Do?
Despite being a mom of two and a stepmom of six, Annie still finds time to do her own thing. She launched a line of edibles in 2017 under her husband’s Reserve label.
On top of that, in 2022, she ‘turned the house into a hospital’ after Nelson got infected with COVID-19.
According to her, she served as the chef, the grocery-getter, and the doctor of the house until Nelson was up and running again. So, despite not having a stable job, D’Angelo does enough work taking care of Nelson!
